- The Sampford Brett Women's Social Club was formed in the Autumn of 1938 for the social benefit of the ladies in the village.
- Meetings are held weekly in the Village Hall on Fridays commencing on the last Friday in October, when the Annual General Meeting takes place through to the end of March, culminating with a Club Supper on the first Friday in April.
- Meetings are held in the afternoon commencing at 2.30 pm, or occasionally in the evening at 7.30 pm.
- The programme consists of talks, slideshows, demonstrations with our own members participating on occasions.
- Before Chrismas we hold a village Carol Evening - the donationsreceived from this event are given to a charity chosen by members. In March we hold a Jumble Sale - the proceeds of which help swell the club funds.
- Membership is £10.00 for the season. Visitors are always welcome (gents included) at a charge of £1.00 for each meeting.
