Sampford Brett Emergency Response Volunteer Group
The Sampford Brett Emergency Response Volunteer Group is made up of Parish Councillors and local volunteers who make themselves available, whenever possible, to respond to emergency situations within the village. Volunteers use the equipment provided to help minimise the impact of such events on people, property, and the wider community.
The committee, which operates as a sub‑committee of the Parish Council, was established to ensure that emergency response volunteers are well informed, coordinated, and work in a way that prioritises safety for themselves and for those affected during any emergency. Its purpose is to formalise the organisation of the volunteer team so that they work responsibly, share expertise, and learn from past experiences.
The committee reports regularly to the Full Parish Council.
