Vacancy: A casual vacancy has arisen on the Parish Council. In accordance with statutory procedure, a Notice of Vacancy will be published and displayed for 14 working days. During this period, any ten electors may request an election. If no election is called, the Parish Council will proceed to fill the seat by co‑option. Details of the co‑option process, including how to apply, will be advertised once permitted.

Meetings are held at Sampford Brett Village Hall and begin at 6.30pm.

- 13 May 2026 – The Annual Meeting Includes election of Chair and review of documentation.
- 10 June 2026 – Parish Meeting Includes end of year accounts.

- 09 December 2026 – Parish Meeting Includes setting of budget and precept.
- 10 March 2027 – Annual Parish Meeting Local societies and groups are welcomed to present items.

Please note: An Extraordinary Parish Council Meeting (a special, unscheduled meeting) may be
arranged during the year to deal with urgent or unforeseen business that cannot wait until the next ordinary
meeting. The agenda for such meetings is limited to the specific urgent matters raised, ensuring focus on
immediate issues such as planning applications or sudden community concerns. These meetings are open to the
public and will be advertised with proper notice.
